The first major Australian promotion in Thailand
Celebrating 60 years of Thailand – Australia bilateral relations

In celebration of the 60th anniversary of Thailand – Australia bilateral relations, the Australian Embassy and CentralWorld proudly presents ‘Experience Australia Unlimited at CentralWorld’, a promotion of all things uniquely Australian from 17 – 22 July 2012. The event will showcase Australia’s ‘unlimited’ opportunities and capabilities through a range of activities designed for everyone to enjoy. Visitors also stand a chance to win two return air tickets to Australia with Qantas.

The Hon Justine Elliot MP, Australian Parliamentary Secretary for Trade, and HE Mr James Wise, Australian Ambassador to Thailand, will preside over the opening ceremony on 17 July, 15.00 hrs, at CentralWorld Atrium zone 2 (1st floor).

The main event, which will be located in the Eden 2, Dazzle and Atrium 2 exhibition spaces at CentralWorld will feature:

  • Thematic displays of modern Australian society, culture, lifestyle, innovation and technology.
  • Retail promotion and sales of Australian products and services. Over 10 famous brands including Blackmores, David Jones, Penfolds, Qantas, and many more.
  • A spectacular Australian designer fashion show featuring Seafolly, Insight, George Ermis, Viva Candy and Bloch Shoes.
  • Music performances and workshop by renowned Australian didgeridoo player, David Williams, and classical guitarist Anthony Garcia.

Other happenings include:

  • Free screenings of the award-winning Australian film, Red Dog, at SF World Cinema CentralWorld, including film talk on 18 July by Red Dog Producer, Nelson Woss, with: Mr Pantham Thongsang, Thai Director/Producer of “Ma-Mha 4 Ka Krub” (Mid-Road Gang); Mr Suparb Rimtheparthip, Editor of Bioscope Magazine; Mr Pravit Tangaksorn, film critic and lecturer; and moderated by Kong Rithdee, film critic of Bangkok Post.
  • Experience learning English as taught in Australia with free samples classes by RMIT English Worldwide and Phoenix Academy on 22 July.
  • Australian cooking demonstration by The Hon Justine Elliot MP, Australian Parliamentary Secretary for Trade, and HE Mr James Wise, Australian Ambassador to Thailand, at Central Food Hall 7th Floor, Central World.
