Web dialogue – Invitation to bid farewell to Ambassador William Paterson PSM

Australian Ambassador to Thailand H.E. William Paterson PSM will complete his posting to Thailand in July 2008. Since arriving in Thailand one day after the tsunami in December 2004, Ambassador Paterson has worked tirelessly to advance the partnership between Australia and Thailand. During his time in Thailand, he has seen the entry to force of the Thailand-Australia Free Trade Agreement on 1 January 2005, the landslide victory of the Thai Rak Thai Party in the 2005 general election, the historic 60th Anniversary Celebrations of HM the King’s Accession to the throne, the rallies in 2006 that led to the coup and the 2007 general election.

If you would like to know more about Ambassador Paterson’s experiences in Thailand in the past 3 ½ years, now is your chance to find out! We invite you to bid farewell to Ambassador Paterson by submitting your questions about his work, lifestyle and reflections on his posting here in amazing Thailand.

The Ambassador will select questions to answer and his responses will be posted on our website in early July 2008. Please include your first name and location (City, Province/State, and Country) in your submission.
