Australian Education International (AEI) works in
collaboration with Siam City Bank to promote study in Australia
Ms. Anne Reynolds, Counsellor - Education, Science and Training, Australian Education International (AEI), recently signed an MOU with Mr. Chaiwat Utaiwan,
the President of Siam City Bank. The objective of the MOU is to extend collaboration between both parties in promoting study in Australia.
Mr William Paterson PSM, the Australian Ambassador to Thailand, said Australia always welcomes international students, offering them a high quality of education, in a comfortable and safe environment at a moderate cost of living. Last year, there were approximately 17,000 Thai students studying in Australia. The MOU between AEI and Siam City Bank is an example of collaboration the embassy has with private sector, and is aimed at disseminating accurate information about Australian education through a new channel.
Ms Anne said Australian Education International will organise a display of promotional materials regarding Australian education and services provided by Australian institutions across all education sectors and in all States and Territories, at 19 branches of the Siam City Bank in Bangkok and suburban areas. In addition AEI staffs have provided support and information about Australian education and training to bank staff. In return, Australian Education International will display the bank’s promotional materials at the front of the Australian Education Centre on level 3 of the Australian Embassy.
“The collaboration will be beneficial to the public as it helps open up opportunities for both students and general public who are interested in studying in Australia”, Ms Anne said.
All 19 branches include Petchaburi, Suan Mali, Central World Plaza, Wireless Rd. (All Season Place), Silom (Pun Rd.), Thaniya, Yaowarach, Siam Square, Central Lad Prao, South Sathron Rd. (Thai CC Tower), Ploenchit Center, The Mall Bangkapi (Sub Branch), Rama VIX, Ekamai, Seacon Square, Future Park Rangsit (Sub Branch), Zeer Rangsit, Pak Kred and Samut Sakorn.
