MC Chatrichalerm Yukol Opened the 5th Australian Film Festival in Bangkok
MC Chatrichalerm Yukol, the internationally renowned Thai film director (The Legend of Suriyothai and King Naresuan), officially launched the 5th Australian Film Festival in Bangkok, at a reception hosted by the Australian Ambassador to Thailand, H.E. William Paterson PSM recently.
The launch, held at SFX Cinema Emporium, featured a screening of the powerful Australian film ‘Black and White’ and was well-attended with over 200 guests, including famous directors and critics from the Thai film industry.
Also present at the opening night were the Prince’s son MR Adam Yukol and daughter
MR Srikhumrung Yukol who were both film students at Queensland’s Bond University. Their former teacher, Prof. Dr Bruce Molloy, from the Centre for Film, Television and Screen-based Media at Bond University also attended. Dr Molloy led a seminar on Australian Film Genres the following day, hosted by Australian Education International to coincide with the Film Festival.
